Forecast in detail

Today (Saturday): Lots of sun graces the area yet again. It should be a bit hotter than yesterday, with highs in a near 90 to mid-90s range. Humidity is up a touch, so it may be noticeable, but still not a big problem. Confidence: Medium-High

Tonight: Scattered showers and storms north of the area may try to work in during the late evening, but they should fall apart in the process, so don't plan on much. Upper 60s to low 70s for lows. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow (Sunday): Odds of rain have gone down, with the front probably passing early in the day. There still could be a few scattered showers or a storm midday into early afternoon. It's as much of a wind shift and an eventual decrease in humidity as anything, so highs still make the mid-80s to around 90. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow night: Partly cloudy as temperatures bottom out in the mid- and upper 60s most spots. Confidence: Medium-High

A look ahead

Sunshine is in control as we kick off the workweek Monday and Tuesday. Both days should see high temperatures in a near 80 to mid-80s range. Confidence: Medium

Temperatures should begin their next rise by Wednesday. Highs are near 90 in D.C. and mid- to upper 80s elsewhere. We could see a handful of days well into the 90s later in the week and into the weekend. Confidence: Medium
