Jupiter and Venus dazzle as a planetary pair

The planetary duo will again appear close together tonight.

Last night, Jupiter and Venus snuggled up in a magnificent planetary conjunction.

The two planets appeared just three full-moon widths apart and stood out prominently in the western sky after sunset.

The planetary duo, joined by Mercury below and to the right, will again appear close together tonight. Venus, the brighter of the pair, will sit a bit higher above Jupiter than it did Monday night.

Remember to look up.
