Storms on Saturday evening sprinted through DC's northern suburbs, unleashing strong winds and downpours. The National Weather Service received several reports of downed trees north and northwest of the Beltway, including in Montgomery County.
Areas from the Beltway southward were generally missed outside of a rogue downpour.
As the storms passed through northern areas, they produced some dramatic skies. Then, rainbows formed as they departed.
