Storms capable of producing damaging wind gusts and hail are a good bet in western Maryland, northern West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Some of that activity could sink as far southeast as Montgomery and Loudoun counties by this evening.
Most storms are expected to weaken by the time they reach the Beltway area later tonight but some downpours and gusty winds are still possible.
