Published:
Last updated:

There could be a few showers and a thunderstorm if you are driving from the DC area to the Maryland or Delaware beaches late Friday afternoon or evening. At the beaches, Saturday could have some rain at times but doesn't look like a washout, followed by a nicer and brighter Sunday.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy with a few showers possible early to mid-morning, then a mix of sun and clouds midday as afternoon highs reach the low to mid-80s. Rather humid with dew points near 70 and light winds. Scattered showers and storms could pop up during the late afternoon into early evening. Rain chances diminish later in the evening and overnight with lows in the low 70s.

Sunday: Partly to mostly sunny and somewhat breezy. Highs should get to near 80 and humidity should drop some by afternoon. Winds gust from the northeast around 20 to 25 mph

Water temperatures: They are currently in the low 70s. See a live map of regional water temperatures on our Weather Now page.
