Happening now: Maybe a stray shower this evening as temperatures fall through the 80s into the 70s. Some more showers could develop overnight, with lows about 65 to 70.

What’s next? A shower chance Friday morning, then dry and comfortable through the weekend. Still no significant rainstorms on the horizon to ease the drought.

Forecast in detail

Tonight: Just the chance of a stray shower this evening. More showers may develop late night and last into sunrise. Lows range from the mid-60s to near 70. Confidence: Medium-High

Juneteenth (Friday): Clouds could be slow to clear out in the morning with a few showers potentially still around, but partly to mostly sunny skies take over by afternoon. Highs range from near 80 to the mid-80s, and humidity is down thanks to a northwest breeze. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow night: Mostly clear and pleasant, especially with lower humidity back in town. Lows range from the upper 50s to mid-60s. Confidence: Medium-High

A look ahead

Pretty ideal for weekend plans, given loads of sun and minimal humidity both Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures aren't too far from normal, with highs in the low and mid-80s. Overall, somewhat more comfortable than you might expect for the first (partial) weekend of summer. Confidence: Medium

Afternoon showers and storms are back in the forecast by Monday afternoon. Before that, highs again reach for the mid-80s. Confidence: Medium
