A look ahead

Partly sunny and more humid Friday with highs in the mid-80s to low 90s. Scattered showers and strong storms are possible Friday afternoon and night as a cold front approaches. Friday night lows drop back to the mid-60s to near 70.

Still rather humid Saturday but probably cooler with highs aiming for the upper 70s to mid-80s. Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms remain possible Saturday into Saturday night, though the cooler temperatures on Saturday may help keep any storms more tame. Confidence: Low-Medium

The front may slip far enough to our south on Sunday to lower our shower and storm chances, but that's not a sure bet yet. Either way, skies should be brighter on Sunday with highs in the 80s. Confidence: Low-Medium

Looking ahead, there are signs of our next heat wave with highs potentially well into the 90s during the middle to later part of next week.
