The Weather Service expects heat index values – how hot it will feel from the combination of heat and humidity – up to 106 in the Wednesday heat advisory area, and up to 112 in in the Thursday-Friday extreme heat watch area.

"Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors," the Weather Service said. "Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.”
